🛁 Water Safety and Drowning Prevention

A child can drown silently in just a couple of minutes, in as little as a few inches (20 cm) of water.

Dad hack

  • If your phone rings during bath time, let it ring. If it’s truly an emergency, pull baby out of the tub and bring them with you wrapped in a towel.

Essential instincts

  1. 1. Bath time 100% supervised

Never step away, not even for two seconds. A bath seat or anti-slip mat is no substitute for your direct presence.

  2. 2. Prep beforehand

Get the towel, soap, nappy, and clothes lined up and ready before baby ever touches the water.

  3. 3. Zero distractions

Don’t scroll, don’t answer calls, and don’t run to open the front door while your kid is in the bath.

  4. 4. Pools & outdoors

Secure swimming pools (safety fences, pool alarms) and empty paddling pools straight away after use.
